What happens when your security alarm sounds and you are not home?
Your on vacation now what?
You’re lying on the beach soaking up the sun. You get an alert on your phone that your security alarm has been set off. Now what are you supposed to do? Well, in the time that it took you to read the alert on your phone and start to panic, your security monitoring company will be calling you to make sure that it is not a false alarm. While they are talking with you and verifying that it is in fact not a false alarm they will be contacting your local dispatch center to send law enforcement to your residence. Once the officer arrives at your residence he will assess the situation. If the officer sees that there is no problem he/she will see if a key holder is responding. If no key holder is responding then the officer will leave the residence. If a key holder is responding depending on your local law enforcement policy the officer may stay at the residence until someone is able to respond so that the officer can check inside your residence. If there is some type of damage or disturbance when the officer shows up to your residence they will begin working on getting in contact with you or another key holder to respond to the residence.
